Will consumers pay for online news and entertainment they now get for free?
We can see from results of latest Nielsen research the old model of paying for content is looking more and more like the new model of paying for content. Of 27,000 surveyed:
64% believe that if they must pay for content online, there should be no ads.
53% say prefer paying through a traditional monthly subscription model
43% who say they would be more likely if offered micro-payments
