YouTube implements bias to algorithm.
"Organic" search results are the credibility of search results. That's why we trust them.
Do what you will ranking, targeting and or suppressing ads but "organic" search results are supposed to be unfiltered and with very few exceptions.
Yet YouTube are now applying editorial bias to organic search results in response to popular videos garnering millions of views offering up alternative opinions, yes even conspiratorial opinions relative to events such as the Vegas Shooting or 9-11.
Dear YouTube, it's NOT popular speech that needs protecting but unpopular speech needing protection. This policy of altering "organic" search to "promote" results and influence a particular narrative means its no longer "organic" search, YouTube.
As an independent business of course that is your right too, but lets' not kid ourselves any longer because anytime you conflate the words "organic search" and "promote" you create an oxymoron.
"YouTube this week surfaced videos peddling misinformation, hateful messages and conspiracy theories to users tracking major news events—prompting the site to change its search results to promote more authoritative sources"
